ScriptEngine Terms of Service.

1. Provider

Who provides ScriptEngine.

ScriptEngine is operated and sold by REFINO LIMITED, a private limited company registered in Cyprus under company number HE 375240.

REFINO LIMITED is not VAT registered.

2. Agreement and eligibility

When these Terms apply.

These Terms apply when you create or use an account, purchase or use credits, use an API key, participate in referral features, or access ScriptEngine's website or API gateway. By creating an account you agree to the version displayed and recorded at registration. Each purchase also records the applicable Terms and Refund Policy versions.

You must be at least 18 years old. If you use ScriptEngine for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

A consumer is a natural person acting mainly outside their trade, business, craft, or profession. Some provisions apply differently to consumers and business customers. These Terms do not exclude or reduce mandatory rights that apply to you.

3. The service

Prepaid access to third-party AI infrastructure.

ScriptEngine provides an account-managed API gateway through which customers can submit supported requests to third-party AI model and API infrastructure. ScriptEngine does not develop or own the third-party models listed in its catalog.

Only routes, features, models, and compatibility expressly described in the current ScriptEngine documentation or returned to your authenticated API key should be treated as available. Publicly documented testing currently covers bearer-authenticated model discovery and chat completions. Do not assume that another interface, including embeddings, images, tools, or a Responses API, is supported unless current documentation confirms it.

Model availability, behavior, capabilities, context limits, response formats, and compatibility can vary by route and change over time.

4. Accounts and API keys

Protect access credentials.

You must provide a valid email address, keep account details current, and protect your password and API keys. You are responsible for activity authorised by your credentials until you secure the account or rotate the affected key.

Do not publish an API key, include it in browser-side code, commit it to source control, or share it with a person who is not authorised to use your account. If a key may have been exposed, rotate it promptly, update every connected client, and contact support with the masked prefix.

You may not sell, transfer, sublicense, or provide access to your account or ScriptEngine keys as a standalone service without written permission from REFINO LIMITED.

5. Credits, packages and rates

How prepaid credits work.

ScriptEngine credits are prepaid usage units. They are not money, legal tender, a deposit, or a stored-value financial product. They have no cash value except where a refund is required by the Refund Policy or applicable law.

A purchase creates a new API key or, where offered, adds credits to an eligible existing key. Credits are associated with keys rather than one freely transferable account wallet. Some packages or referrals can include complimentary bonus credits.

The package and checkout show the price, currency, and credit quantity before purchase. These order values are recorded. Credits are consumed according to the model or route and its applicable rate when a request is processed. Input, output, cached, reasoning, image, audio, fixed-request, or other dimensions may apply where published.

Check the current Models and Plans pages before use. Model availability and rates are not frozen by an earlier catalog view; a key's remaining token capacity can change when routes or rates change.

Paid credits do not have a scheduled calendar expiry. This does not prevent an account or key from being restricted under these Terms, or credits from being removed because of an authorised refund, reversal, chargeback, fraud correction, or account closure.

Credit purchases are one-time payments. ScriptEngine does not currently sell an automatically renewing subscription. Credits and complimentary rewards cannot be transferred between customers or redeemed for cash except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

6. Payments and taxes

The total is shown before checkout.

The payment methods actually enabled for your checkout are shown before you continue. They may include card or supported wallet payments through Stripe and cryptocurrency payments through BTCPay Server.

Payment services operate under their own terms and privacy notices. REFINO LIMITED does not intend to receive or store full card details, card security codes, wallet private keys, or seed phrases.

REFINO LIMITED is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT. You remain responsible for taxes or reporting duties that applicable law places directly on you. Blockchain network fees, exchange rates, confirmation times, and supported assets may be controlled by the relevant network, wallet, exchange, or payment service.

7. Immediate performance and withdrawal

Credits can be provisioned before the cooling-off period ends.

At checkout, you can expressly request that ScriptEngine begin provisioning credits and API access immediately, before the end of an applicable 14-day consumer withdrawal period.

If you exercise a valid consumer withdrawal right after using part of the service, you may have to pay the proportionate value supplied before withdrawal where applicable law permits. Complimentary, promotional, and referral credits have no refundable cash value. Once a service has been fully performed, the withdrawal right may end where you expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged that consequence.

The complete rules and online submission process are in the Refund Policy and withdrawal function. Nothing in this section limits a right that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Acceptable use

Use ScriptEngine lawfully and safely.

You must not use ScriptEngine to:

• break applicable law, sanctions, export controls, or another person's rights;
• distribute malware, facilitate unauthorised access, interfere with systems, or evade security or rate controls;
• obtain, expose, or misuse passwords, payment credentials, API keys, private keys, or other secrets;
• impersonate another person, conduct fraud, or misrepresent the origin or capabilities of generated content;
• send unsolicited bulk messages or operate an abusive or misleading referral campaign;
• overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt ScriptEngine except where law expressly permits the activity;
• share or resell API access in an unauthorised manner; or
• create material security, legal, or operational risk for ScriptEngine, its customers, or upstream providers.

You are responsible for your applications, end users, instructions, content, and compliance obligations.

9. Customer content and providers

Your content is transmitted to fulfil requests.

You retain any rights you have in prompts, messages, files, tool inputs, and other material you submit. You give REFINO LIMITED the limited permission needed to transmit and process that material to provide the requested service. You confirm that you have the rights and lawful basis needed to submit it and instruct its processing.

ScriptEngine does not use customer API content to train AI models and does not intentionally persist complete request bodies or normal model outputs after a request completes. Limited usage, error, and diagnostic records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

Requests are transmitted to third-party upstream providers. Depending on the provider, route, contract, and policy, a provider may retain, review, analyse, or use submitted content for safety, abuse prevention, service improvement, or model training. ScriptEngine does not promise zero retention or no training across every route.

Do not submit personal, confidential, regulated, health, children's, payment, password, key, or other sensitive data unless you have independently determined that the relevant processing is lawful and suitable.

10. AI outputs

Review output before relying on it.

AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, outdated, non-unique, or unsuitable. ScriptEngine does not guarantee an output's accuracy, legality, ownership, originality, or fitness for your purpose.

Do not treat output as medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional advice without appropriate qualified review. Rights in inputs and outputs can depend on applicable law and third-party rights.

11. Availability and changes

No service-level agreement.

ScriptEngine is provided without an uptime or response-time SLA. Continuous availability, a particular model or route, uninterrupted access, and a particular response time are not guaranteed.

We may add, change, remove, or temporarily restrict models, routes, rates, packages, limits, and technical features. Rate and catalog changes apply prospectively to requests processed after the changed information takes effect. Where practical, we will provide notice of a material change; security, legal, fraud-prevention, or upstream events may require immediate action.

12. Suspension and termination

When access may be restricted.

REFINO LIMITED may reject a purchase, restrict access, rotate or revoke a key, or suspend service where reasonably necessary to protect an account or system; investigate suspected fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or unauthorised access; comply with law or a binding request; enforce these Terms; respond to non-payment or reversal; or address material operational risk.

Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a support route for human review. The treatment of unused paid credits after closure or termination is governed by the Refund Policy and mandatory law.

13. Referrals and promotions

Rewards are API credits, not cash.

Referral and promotional credits are complimentary, non-transferable, and have no cash value. Eligibility, amounts, holding periods, and availability are governed by the current Referral Program page and the account workspace.

A refund, reversal, dispute, fraud finding, or cancellation of a qualifying order may reverse associated rewards. If reversed rewards were already consumed, the corresponding amount may be recorded as credit debt or recovered from eligible balances where permitted by law.

Do not use misleading price claims, impersonation, unsolicited messaging, self-referrals, fabricated accounts, or other abusive methods to obtain rewards.

14. Intellectual property

ScriptEngine and third-party rights.

ScriptEngine's branding, original website content, documentation, interface, and software are owned by or licensed to REFINO LIMITED. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you.

Third-party names, models, software, and content remain subject to their respective rights. Their appearance in the catalog does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.

15. Disclaimers and liability

Mandatory rights remain protected.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScriptEngine is supplied on an “as available” basis. REFINO LIMITED does not warrant uninterrupted access, availability of a particular model, or the accuracy or suitability of AI output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REFINO LIMITED is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost revenue, lost opportunities, loss of goodwill, or decisions made in reliance on AI output. These exclusions do not apply where unlawful, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or another category that law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

16. Governing law and disputes

Cyprus law, with consumer protections preserved.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections available under the law of your habitual residence or prevent you from using courts or dispute procedures available under applicable law.

Contact support@scriptengine.org so we can try to resolve a complaint. English support submissions are accepted at any time and target an initial response within two business days, but that target is not an SLA.

17. Changes and contact

Policy versions are identified by date.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, law, security requirements, or business practices. A revised version will show a new effective date. Material changes apply prospectively. The version recorded for an order continues to identify that order's purchase terms unless a change is required by law or benefits you.
